Certified protective case for transporting and charging lithium-ion batteries - BSK-1

In buildings, garages, or residential areas, batteries for portable tools, model making, gardening, or e-bikes can pose a significant risk if not properly handled, charged, and stored.

The easily visible red BSK-1 case features a robust, impact-resistant polypropylene outer shell. The inner casing is made of a non-flammable, non-conductive material and provides explosion protection. A cover is also equipped with PyroBubbles®. In the event of a fire, the granules melt and form a closed, thermally insulating layer around the fire source, eliminating oxygen. Combustible reaction gases are reduced by the pores of the beads. The high specific heat capacity absorbs energy, and the temperature is reduced thanks to the cooling effect.

The BSK-1 protective case was developed according to the highest safety standards for the storage and transport of lithium-ion batteries. Thanks to the cable gland, batteries can not only be stored, but also charged safely.

P908: This instruction applies to damaged or defective lithium-ion or lithium metal cells and batteries of UN Nos. 3090, 3091, 3480 and 3481, including when contained in equipment.

P909: This instruction applies to UN Nos. 3090, 3091, 3480 and 3481 transported for disposal or recycling, whether or not mixed with non-lithium cells or batteries.

P910: This instruction applies to production series consisting of not more than 100 cells and batteries of UN Nos. 3090, 3091, 3480 and 3481 and to pre-production prototypes of cells and batteries of these UN numbers when these prototypes are transported for testing.
