Electric forklifts are essential in many sectors, from logistics and manufacturing to storage and shipping centers. However, the growing use of lithium-ion batteries also increases the risk of fire. These fires are particularly dangerous because they are impossible to extinguish and quickly release high temperatures and toxic fumes. This is where the fire blanket for electric forklifts comes in.
The D LINE forklift fire blanket has been specially designed for electric forklifts to ensure maximum safety in the event of a battery fire. Whether for prevention or emergency response, the blanket is easily and quickly deployed on the forklift using the eyelets and four telescopic poles to protect the environment from heat, smoke, and flames in the event of a fire. The robust high-temperature fiberglass fabric, reinforced with a special heat-resistant silicone coating, withstands extreme temperatures, 1,000°C continuously and up to 1,300°C in short periods.
In the event of a lithium-ion battery fire, the battery burns in a controlled manner under the fire blanket without endangering nearby objects, with significantly reduced ambient temperature and smoke development.
The D LINE forklift insulation blankets are tested and certified in accordance with DIN SPEC 91489:2024-11. It establishes clear requirements for insulation and fire containment blankets for electric vehicles: high thermal resistance to control extreme temperatures, mechanical stability to ensure cut resistance and protection, chemical resistance to prevent the spread of toxic substances, comprehensive manufacturer information to ensure safe use, and post-fire handling to ensure optimal safety.
VLICOVER D LINE blankets, certified according to DIN SPEC 91489, offer optimal protection and are a benchmark safety solution.
Certified for use up to 1,300°C (2,372°F) at peak temperatures, D LINE fire blankets act as a barrier against fire. They help control fires and slow their spread, with a significant and immediate reduction in smoke and temperature. Toxic vapors remain trapped beneath the blanket.
