Certified case with fiberglass cushions as a safe solution for transporting and storing intact or defective lithium-ion batteries and accumulators classified as dangerous goods. This case is ideal for e-bike batteries, portable tool batteries, and model batteries.
The B&W LI-ION CARRY & STORE Type 6040 battery transport case is equipped with specially developed CIRRUX safety cushions made of textured fiberglass. CIRRUX safety cushions are made of a non-flammable and non-conductive material. These cushions are resistant to heat and high pressure. In addition, the cushions filter out hydrogen fluoride, which is produced when smoke is generated. This means that the lithium-ion batteries packaged in it can not only be transported safely, but also that in the event of a fire, the glass fibers have a corresponding flame-retardant effect and absorb any escaping liquids, protecting the environment from danger.
In addition to effective fire protection, the case with Cirrux padding provides excellent protection against mechanical impact. It is not uncommon for a battery to fail due to improper storage or being dropped during transport. The case complies with all legal regulations regarding the transport, packaging, and shipping of batteries (ADR/IATA). It is certified for the transport or storage of lithium-ion batteries with a maximum total weight of 13 kg (including the case).

Important
Please note that the certification for air transport applies exclusively to cargo flights. Furthermore, the law requires that lithium-ion batteries with a capacity > 100 Wh cannot be transported on passenger aircraft.
